PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens manufacturing apparatus and a lens manufacturing method capable of easily manufacturing a high-quality cemented lens by performing edging using optical centering.SOLUTION: A lens manufacturing apparatus includes: lens holders 12 and 22 provided to face each other, and holding lenses 1 and 2, respectively; lens holding shafts 10 and 20 provided on a rotational axis Rcommon to the lens holding shafts 10 and 20, and supporting the lens holders 12 and 22, respectively; centering stages 11 and 21 provided on the lens holding shafts 10 and 20, and adjusting positions of the lens holders 12 and 22 in a direction orthogonal to the rotational axis Rand inclinations thereof with respect to the rotational axis R, respectively; an eccentricity detection unit 40A detecting eccentricities of optical axes of the lenses 1 and 2 from the rotational axis R, respectively; and moving mechanisms 111 and 121 moving the lens holding shafts 10 and 20 along the rotational axis R, respectively so as to be able to unite together the lenses 1 and 2. |
