[Also in Divisions E2 and H2] A rotor comprises individual, laminated polepieces 1 carrying pre-formed coils 3 and having hook-like portions 5 which interlock with a shaft 6 and with each other to form a rigid assembly. To assemble the rotor, the polepieces with the coils in position are slid radially towards each other in the direction of the arrows A until the portions 5 define a hole, preferably of polygonal shape, into which the shaft is then driven. |
