<p>The door frame for a coke oven door is sealed across the top relative to the oven brickwork by a Z-shaped angle bracket. The web and the upper flange of the bracket lie flush against the top corner of the door frame and are fixed to the latter by screws, after an asbestos sealing strip has been inserted. The upper seal is easy to replace. The brickwork itself is protected against deformations of the door frame, yet the egress of flames and gases is reliably eliminated.</p> |
