PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin suitable for a protective layer or an adhesive layer formed on the surface of a metal film. SOLUTION: This resin composition is obtained by adding a high-specific gravity liquid oligomer having >=1.10 specific gravity to a photopolymerizable curable resin for subjecting the resin composition to a photopolymerization reaction. In the case in which the resin composition is applied to a metal film 12 and subjected to photo polymerization, the bulky substituent group of the high-specific gravity liquid oligomer prevents water penetration to give a protective film 13 having low water permeability. The high-specific gravity liquid oligomer in an amount of >=35 wt.% and <=70 wt.% is preferably added to the photopolymerizable curable resin.
