PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve such nonconformity that the coupling for connecting a duct to the body casing of a ceiling installation type of air conditioner consists of sheet metal material, and that the user must cut the sheet metal material in the case of changing the duct side on the site of installation, which takes time and also which results in bad accuracy in cutting position or dimensions. SOLUTION: A coupling is provided with an intermediate body 3 for formation of itself which constitutes a part 2a of the flank 2 of the body casing 1. The intermediate body 3 is constituted of a member 4 (for example, foaming polystyrol) cuttable by a knife 7. The intermediate body 3 is cut along the mark 5 showing the cutting position, thus the coupling for coupling the duct is manufactured. The coupling suitable for the required duct size can be manufactured easily on the site, and the accuracy in position and dimension is high, too. |
