PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermittent coating device capable of coating a base material with a coating material such as electrode mix with a precise coating pattern at high coating-material coating speed. SOLUTION: A sheet 1 is coated intermittently with a coating material by opening/closing a shutter 9 of a head 8 storing the coating material so as form coated parts each having a fixed length and non-coated parts each having a fixed length on the sheet 1. This intermittent coating device is provided with a sensor 17 for measuring the level of the coating material in the head 8 and a coating-size measuring sensor 22 for alternately detecting coated part lengths and non-coated part lengths formed on the sheet 1, and further equipped with a control device 19 for controlling, by comparing detected values of the sensors 17, 22 with set values, the amount of the coating material supplied into the head 8, and irregularity of coating-material coating sizes on the sheet l can be reduced by this device. |
