PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to obtain the optimum light frequency variable of an optical output without degrading the power or waveform of the optical output. SOLUTION: The light transmitter 20 is provided with a light source 11, an electric field absorption type optical modulator (EA modulator) 12 for absorbing input light in accordance with applied voltage, an optical modulator driving circuit 13, a bias circuit 14, a photocoupler 21 for branching an optical output, a light frequency variable monitor 24 consisting of a light frequency discriminator 22 and a peak detector 23, and a control circuit 25 and adjusts the driving condition of the optical modulator 20 so that optimum light frequency variable is obtained. |
