PURPOSE:To achieve small size, by detecting a reception signal including the variance caused on lines for training data and taking the signal as the generation start timing for reference data. CONSTITUTION:In a gate G, the gate is opened at the time when a pulse generated at the level change point is supplied from a pulse generating section PG, and this timing (tim) is applied to a reference generating section TSR as a shift pulse. The TSR generates reference data every time when the shift pulse is inputted and applies it to a deciding section D. An equalizing section EQL adjusts a value multiplied to data at each tap position of each tap register TR, in accorance with the error between the decided output of the D and a value of equalized waveform. After a tap coefficient is adjusted at CD period, the specified phase and amplitude decision are used independntly of the reference data to decide the value of equalizing signals. Thus, the tap coefficient is extended from a time when the line variance component of the changing point from the period AB to the CD in the reception signal is included, allowing to take position of center tap in accordance with the line variance. |
