<p>A wood preservative based on an aqueous mixture of boric acid and a water-soluble organic amine, which mixture additionally contains sodium polyborate or a mixture of boric acid and borax wherein the sodium polyborate and/or boric acid and borax constitute 40 to 80% by weight of the wood preservative, leaving out of account water and the boric acid present as the salt of the organic amine, said wood preservative having a pH of from 6 to 8.</p> |
