<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new low temperature fired ceramic composition which is free from B and Pb, can be fired at a low temperature, and can be simultaneously fired even when copper wiring is utilized, a method for manufacturing the same, and a wiring board. <P>SOLUTION: The composition contains Si, Al, O, and a sintering aid component, and further contains at least two or more kinds of Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba, and is free from B and Pb. The method includes a calcining process for calcining a raw material composition containing an Si-containing raw material, an Al-containing raw material, at least two or more kinds of Mg-, Ca-, Sr- and Ba-containing raw materials, which raw materials are oxides or converted into respective oxides when they are heated, and a sintering aid, and being free from B- and Pb-containing raw materials, at 700-1,000°C to obtain a calcined material, and a firing process for firing an unfired composition containing a calcined powder, obtained by pulverizing the calcined material, at 850-1,050°C. The wiring board is composed of an insulating part comprising the composition, and conductor parts containing Cu simultaneously fired together with the insulating part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
