PURPOSE:To prevent a motor from being driven beyond its maximum rotational speed, by a method wherein rotational angle command of the motor is given as function of time obtained by integral of the rotational speed command under consideration of the maximum rotational speed of the motor. CONSTITUTION:A feed amount setting device 71 receives rolling finishing signal P, and transmits rotational angle set value S of a hydraulic motor required to move material by prescribed amount using a feed mechanism during idle period. A speed command calculator 72 calculates rotational speed command omegar being not beyond the maximum rotational speed under consideration of the maximum rotational speed of the hydraulic motor from the rotational angle set value S, and transmits the calculated value. An integrator 73 integrates the rotational speed command omegar and transmits rotational angle command Sr. A subtractor 74 subtracts rotational angle detection value f from the rotational angle command Sr, and transmits rotational angle deviation e.
