PURPOSE:To attain a recording including one on which a picture on a display means is added, by magnetizing and displaying the display means is added, by magnetizing and displaying the display unit part of the display means in a specified direction corresponding to a picture signal. CONSTITUTION:The image of an original 18 is read by every prescribed width with the reciprocal movement of an image sensor 22 in a reader part 17, and is converted to a binary data with a binarization circuit part 24, and is sent to a shift register 25, then being converted to a parallel data in order. When the parallel data of one line of the original is stored at a shift register 25, it is sent out to a latch circuit part 26 with a prescribed timing, and is sent out to a driver 27 with the timing of an enable signal, and the driver 27 magnetizes a magnetic head array 4. In the magnetic head array 4, magnetic heads 71, 72- are magnetized corresponding to parallel picture signals. In this way, the image of the original 18 on a display plate 2 is magnified and displayed with a black dot due to the movement of a black magnetic powder 10 within a recessed part 9.
