<p>PURPOSE:To attain the reproduction starting from a suitable position by reproducing from the starting point of the signal when a starting identifying signal exists in the prescribed range before and after the head position of a program and from the head position of the program when the signal does not exist. CONSTITUTION:When the searching of a program N is instructed, absolute time TN of the head of the program N is known by the information stored in a TOC (contents information) memory 31. Thereafter, a magnetic tape 15 is reproduced, the absolute time T of a present position is known, the size of times T and TN is compared and the travelling direction of the tape is known and reproduced. At this time, the times T and TN are compared in the reproduced sub-code are compared, the difference is the range less than the prescribed time, a starting identifying signal S-ID is detected, and then, the tape travelling is stopped, the tape 15 is sent up to the head of the signal S-ID and from there, reproduction is executed. On the other hand, when the signal S-ID cannot be detected and it is detected that the difference between the times TN and T become the prescribed time or above, the tape 15 is stopped, the tape 15 is sent up to the position of the time TN and the reproduction is executed from there.</p> |
