INDUCTION SIGNAL TRANSFER APPARATUS FOR CONTACT HEAD

PURPOSE: To realize reliable transmission of signal insensitive to disturbance by disposing a member for induction coupling a mounting part and a spindle and a member for induction coupling the spindle and the machine body regardless of the rotational angle. CONSTITUTION: Mounting part 5 of a contact head 1 is secured to the spindle 6 of a machine tool and the spindle 6 is born rotatably by the machine body 7 of machine tool. A scanning signal is transmitted inductively from a detector 4 to the spindle 6. A magnetic core 11 applied with a coil 12 is built in the mounting part 5 and a magnetic core 15 applied with a coil 17 is built in the spindle 6. The coils 11, 15 face each other, at the end parts thereof, through an air gap at the mounting opening 16 of spindle 6. An annular transmission coil 20 is fixed to the opening 19 of spindle 6 and a receiving coil 22 is fixed to the machine body 7 while facing the transmission coil 20. This arrangement realizes reliable transmission of signal insensitive to disturbance from the detector 4 to an evaluation unit 8.
