PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure that the liquid-absorbing pad member of a disposable diaper abuts against a portion near the urethral opening. SOLUTION: A disposable diaper comprises a cover member 2 and a liquid- absorbing pad member 3. The part 8 of the cover member 2 covering a portion near the urethral opening has elastic flexibility in the cross direction of the diaper. The pad member 3 is mounted on the inner surface of the cover member 2. At two parts 51, 52 which are spaced apart in the cross direction of the diaper, the part of the pad member 3 covering the urethral opening and its nearby part are joined to the part 18 of the cover member 2 covering the urethral opening and the nearby portion. |
