PURPOSE:To synthesize a picture without using the picture memory of large capacity by synthesizing the picture by switching a first picture and a second picture with a first picture synthesizing means while synchronizing with the input of a first picture and a second picture, and besides, synthesizing the picture by adding the first picture and the second picture by a second picture synthesizing means. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal synchronizing signal HSYNC1 is outputted from a color printer 3 once at every line, and selected by a selector 23, and inputted to a synchronizing control circuit 21. Besides, a synchronizing signal iTOP1 in a subscanning direction to be outputted from the color printer 3 is outputted four times at the time of four-color printing, for instance, and selected by the selector 22, and inputted to the synchronizing control circuit 21. At the synchronizing signal iTOP of a first time, the yellow component (B component) of an original is read. Then, the picture inputted by a scanning 1 and the picture inputted by the scanner 21 are switched by a synthesis circuit 19 based on the tag bit of one bit indicating that it is an effective picture for synthesis to be synthesized. |
