<p>The invention concerns a packaging means for live plants of the type comprising a container or pot provided with at least one slot (2) in the vicinity of its edge, and an identification label (3) provided with a lower tip for insertion through said slot (2), said lower tip being constituted by a generally triangular-shaped lower portion (ABC), separated from the other parts of the label (3) by two lateral notches (ADE, CFG). The packaging means in accordance with the invention is characterized in that the height (Aa) of said triangular portion (ABC), perpendicular to a first lateral side (BC) of said triangular portion (ABC), is shorter than the length (HJ) of said slot (2), the base (AC) of said triangular portion (ABC) having a length greater than that of said slot (2), the distance (DF) between the bottoms of said notches (ADE, CFG) being less than the length (HJ) of the slot (2), and the distance (DC) between the bottom of the notch (ADE) opposed to said first lateral side (BC) and the vertex (C) of the triangular portion (ABC) adjacent to the other notch (CFG) is less than the length (HJ) of the slot (2).
