Hollow composite member for absorbing torques and/or tensile, compressive or bending forces, in which, in an outer layer of material and by means of pressure-absorbing inner supporting means in the radial direction, there prevails essentially over the entire axial length a tensile prestress which is in each case uniform over the periphery, and in particular in the outer layer of material there prevails, as a result of tensile-absorbing inner supporting means in the axial direction, a compressive prestress which is uniform or larger towards the centre. ……
