PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic compsn. having retarded memory effect and permitting a continuous fast process by incorporating an electron donative resin comprising a specified carbazole resin into an electrophotographic compsn. CONSTITUTION:In an elecetrophotographic compsn. consisting at least of a photoconductive pigment and a binder resin, a carbazole resin contg. a long chain alkyl group and either one among an amide bond, ester bond, or ether bond between a principal chain of the polymer and a carbazole ring is used as the binder resin. By this constitution, electrons generated in the carrier formed in a sensitizing dyestuff by the irradiation with light are injected into a conductive zone of ZnO and are made to contribute to generate electroconductivity, and holes interact, on the other hand, with the carbazole ring. Thus, the dyestuff is regenerated, permitting repetitive use of the elecrtrophotographic compsn. moreover the electroconductivity is due mainly by the migration of electric charge, recovery of a dark resistance is attained extremely quickly as compared to an electrophotographic compsn. generating electroconductivity by the migration of an atomic group. Thus, a memory effect is inhibited, so a continuous fast process has become possible when the compsn. is utilized as an electrophotographic material. |
