PURPOSE: To promote cooling in a cooling zone and to shorten the length of the cooling zone by exposing yarn to a cooling fluid flow at the upstream end of the cooling zone between a heating zone and a false twist device. CONSTITUTION: An additional cooling means 25 is installed at the upstream end of a cooling zone 16 between a heating zone 15 and a false twist device and water is supplied to yarn 13 passing through a guide channel 36. Water is sent from a water supply apparatus 27 to a manifold 26. A capillary tube 34 is connected to a channel 36 and water is supplied in an accurately controlled state to the yarn 13 in a guide 35 and excessive water is returned through a tray 38 to a reservoir 32. |
