PURPOSE:To attain the payment of only a part of an amount received to a card by designating a payment amount with a payment amount selection button and instructing the execution of a payment process with operation of a payment button. CONSTITUTION:A payment button 8 is provided together with the payment amount selection buttons 10a-10e, and the operation of one of buttons 10a-10e is detected prior to the operation of the button 8 in a card input state and a coin application state. Then an amount designated by the payment amount selection button that detected the operation of the button 8 is subtracted from the total amount of applied coins. Then the prepaid amount written into a card is updated to an amount obtained by adding the amount designated by the payment amount selection button to the prepaid amount. Thus it is possible to avoid such an inconvenient case where the operation of the button 8 is required with application of Yen5,000 into a vending machine after exchange of Yen10,000 for example. |
