PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure the length of slide fastener chain by counting the number of fastener elements at a part having the specified length of the slide fastener chain in a suspended attitude. CONSTITUTION:When a piston rod 14 is lifted to the highest lifting position, lower and upper pulleys 16 and 17 are lifted. A slide fastener chain 2 is also lifted. The number of fastener elements is counted with a counting device 22 during the lifting step. The output is inputted into an operating circuit 29. In the meantime, the specified length of the chain 2 is inputted into the circuit 2. As a result, the element pitch within the specified length of the chain 2 is operated in the circuit 29. The pitch is inputted into a control circuit 32 through an output circuit 30. When a rod 11 is lifted at this time, the pulley 17 is lifted to a high position with respect to a sending device 6 and a guide pulley 20 at the constant positions. Therefore, the length between the pulley 17 and the device 6 and the length between the pulleys 17 and 16 become strikingly longer than the lifting stroke of the rod 11. Thus, the measuring errors can be made minimum. |
