PURPOSE:To perform an image forming processing in which a color misregistration cannot occur even in a multiple transfer for every color by controlling a drive speed of an image holding body driven by a first drive means and a drive speed of a substrate driven on the basis of a reference signal and an output of a second detection means. CONSTITUTION:An image forming device 100 is provided with a photosensitive drum motor 61 as a first drive means directly rotating a photosensitive drum 1 and a transfer drum motor 63 as a second drive means directly rotating a transfer drum 13. The photosensitive drum motor 61 is driven by an electric current or voltage through a photosensitive drum motor drive circuit 68 connected to a photosensitive drum motor control circuit 67.
