PURPOSE:To install a lid of an air bag device to an instrument panel upon certain location and prevent dislocating by forming an outward facing flange at the top of an air bag accommodator, and detaining the flange with the instrument panel. CONSTITUTION:An outward facing flange 35 is formed at the top of an air bag accommodator 12. Protruding downward, a plurality of tabs 37 are formed on the rear of a lid 17 of air bag device, and these tabs 37 are inserted in respective long grooves 39 provided in the flange 35 and fastened by rivet 41 to the upper part of the air bag accommodator 12. Aa plurality of projections 43 protruding downward are formed at the foremost of the flange 35, and detaining grooves 45 are provided at the step part 23 of an instrument panel 21 confronting these projections 43, which are inserted in the detaining grooves 45 to hold the detained state. |
