PURPOSE:To restrain generation of noise and to damp natural musical sound by damping an envelope in accordance with tempo by way of providing a means to change the envelope of musical sound in accordance with a tempo value. CONSTITUTION:An envelope correction data is multiplied to an envelope data by a multiplier 25 and loaded into an envelope generator 24. Additionally, a correction ON/OFF data controls whether the envelope correction data is multiplied to the envelope data or not. These computation and control are carried out by a CPU. In an ROM, a table of a data to decide to what degrees a time base of an envelope is compressed or extended against a tempo value is prepared, and the envelope correction data is acquired by retrieving this table with the tempo value as a key. Additionally, in the ROM, a table to show whether envelope correction is carried out or not for each tone is prepared, and the correction ON/OFF data can be acquired by way of retrieving this table with the tone as a key. |
