PURPOSE:To provide the liquid crystal display device having high image quality free from unequal display without exceedingly increasing the number of the conventional production processes. CONSTITUTION:This liquid crystal display device has plural display pixel electrodes 18. The respective display pixel electrodes 18 are connected to an electrode wiring 16 via first and second nonlinear resistance elements 30, 32 which are connected in series. This first nonlinear resistance element 30 has a first metallic layer connected to the electrode wiring 16 and a first insulating film 38 formed on this first metallic layer. The second nonlinear resistance element 32 has a second metallic layer connected to the display pixel electrodes 18 and a second insulating film 42 formed on this second metallic layer. The first and second insulating films 38, 42 are connected to each other via a third metallic layer 52.
