In the case of a multiway (multi-connection) terminal for service appliances having a connecting part which is in the form of a U-bracket and is held such that it partially stands free on the outside in its insulating material housing on the web side, and whose lower limb passes through a frame-like terminal body (clamping body) which is held in an adjustable manner by means of a terminal screw which engages in a screw thread on its top and is guided in the upper limb of the connecting part, the underneath of the terminal body (4), which interacts with the lower limb (2) of the connecting part which projects in an extended manner to the outside in the connection direction, are drawn forwards to the outside, such that it is superimposed on the first, in order to grip a rectangular busbar (7). In consequence, the terminal is suitable, on its two connecting parts, for optional connection to lead wire ends or to busbars of any desired design and thickness. <IMAGE>
