<p>PURPOSE:To set the efficiency of call setting in an ATM network to be high. CONSTITUTION:A calling terminal 1 gives area codes for path handler identification peculiar in the network, area codes for path handler identification peculiar in the storage area of respective path handlers and terminal codes for discriminating respective terminals, which are peculiar in the storage range of respective channel handlers, to destination addresses and requests call setting. A calling channel handier 20 storing the calling terminal 1 identifies path ID for a termination path handier 32 on a termination terminal 5-side based on the area code. The termination path handler 32 identifies path ID for the termination channel handler 32 storing the termination terminal 5 based on the station code. The termination channel handler 32 identifies the termination terminal 5 based on the terminal code so as to set respective calls.</p> |
