PURPOSE:To rapidly and simply regenerate a denatured protein such as an inert protein by reacting the denatured protein with a specific protein and carrying out the unwinding of the denatured protein. CONSTITUTION:This method for regenerating a denatured protein such as an inert protein accumulated in a transformant microorganism is to react the denatured protein with any of (A) a chaperonine 60 monomer, (C) a fragment, starting from threonine at the 79th position from the N-terminal of the chaperonine 60 monomer and having about 50kD molecular weight, (C) the chaperonine 60 monomer and a chaperonine 10 and (D) a protein of a homochaperonine and carry out the unwinding of the denatured protein. Furthermore, the proteins (A), (B), (C) and (D) used in regenerating the denatured protein are preferably proteins purified from Thermophilus thermophilus. |
