PURPOSE:To obtain the subject new readily administrable compound, having nerve growth factor-like actions and useful as an improving and therapeutic agent for dementia, amnesia, etc. CONSTITUTION:This compound is expressed by the formula. The compound is obtained by aerobically culturing a strain Acremonium sp. TF-0356 of the genus Acremonium at pH5-7 and 25-30 deg.C temperature for 3-5 days, preferably at pH5-7 and 25-27 deg.C temperature for 4 days, isolating and purifying the resultant compound from the culture according to a conventional method. |
