PURPOSE:To enhance workability in loading/unloading a baggage in/from a packing box by a method wherein a top cover device is so constructed that a top cover can be opened along either a right side wall or a left side wall. CONSTITUTION:Two upper and lower guide rails 27, 22 extending longitudinally are provided on front and rear upper edge parts of a packing box 1. A top cover 11 releasing and blocking an opening part of the packing box 1 is slid by first guide rollers 25 supported through a shaft in the center positions of the front and rear end parts of the top cover 11 in the longitudinal direction thereof and second guide rollers 29b (or 29a) on the trailing side in the slide and guide direction in the state that second guide rollers 29a (or 29b) on the leading side in the slide and guide direction are drawn out. The first and second guide rollers 29a, 29b are supported through shafts at the left and right ends of the front and rear end parts of the top cover 11. When the first guide rollers 25 are positioned on the left or right ends of the first guide rails 22, the second guide rollers on the trailing side in the slide and guide direction are taken out upward through cutout parts. The top cover 11 is inclined downward along the outer surface of the left or right side wall by being rotated about the first guide rollers 25 as a fulcrum. |
