PURPOSE: To obtain a photosensitive planographic printing plate having a uniform coated face free from unevenness in a short drying time by using a specified mixed solvent. CONSTITUTION: An o-quinonediazide compd., an alkali-soluble resin and a mixed solvent consisting of a solvent whose viscosity is X (X>2cp) and a solvent whose viscosity is >=2X are incorporated. The usable o-quinonediazido compd. is not especially limited and it is, e.g., a polycondensation resin having o- quinonediazide groups such as an ester compd. of o-quinonediazidesulfonic acid with a polycondensation resin consist.ing of phenol and aldehyde or ketone. The alkali-soluble resin is, e.g. novolak resin, a vinyl polymer having phenolic hydroxyl groups or a condensation resin consisting of polyhydric phenol and aldehyde or ketone.
