PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a thermoelectric conversion apparatus to be protected against disconnection caused by thermal expansion and shrinkage and elongated in service life. SOLUTION: A thermoelectric conversion device is equipped with plate-like heat exchangers 1 and 2 which are provided confronting each other, thermoelectric devices 4 each provided with a pair of a P-type semiconductor 5a and an N-type semiconductor 5b and so connected with solder so as to link the P-type semiconductors 5a and the N-type semiconductors 5b together in series, and electrodes 10 mounted on the heat exchangers 1 and 2. The thermoelectric devices 4 are formed like a cylinder and arranged vertical to the heat exchangers 1 and 2, a deformation restrainer 6 is provided in each of the thermoelectric devices 4, and the deformation restrainers 6 of ceramic material are so formed as to grow gradually large in crosssectional area nearly parallel to the heat exchangers 1 and 2 with a distance from the center of the heat exchangers 1 and 2. |
