PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an impact modifier capable of improving the impact resistance of a thermoplastic polymer when the modifier is compounded with the thermoplastic polymer, hardly causing a gel colony and a granular structure based on the gel colony, and capable of providing a molding product excellent in appearance, transparency and other properties, and further to obtain a thermoplastic polymer composition containing the impact modifier. SOLUTION: This impact modifier comprises (A) a multilayer structure polymer particles having the outermost layer comprising a (meth)acrylic ester-based polymer, including at least one layer of a rubbery polymer layer in the interior, and further having 0.05-0.5μm average diameter, and (B) a (meth)acrylic ester- based polymer particles having 0.05-0.2μm average particle diameter in a weight ratio of components A:B regulated so as to be (50:50) to (95:5). Further, the ratio (NA/NB) of the number (NA) of the particles of the component A of the multilayer structure polymer particles to the number (NB) of the particles of the component B of the (meth)acrylic ester-based polymer particles is within the range of 1-8. |
