<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) address management device for providing communication capable of executing high quality service (QoS) assurance between both ends without allowing a terminal to be conscious of an opposite party, effectively utilizing an intra-network resource based on a statistic multiple effect in communication not requiring QoS assurance and easily changing network constitution such as the address change of a connectionless server(CLS). SOLUTION: When the ATM address of a destination terminal equipment 2f is unclear, a transmission side terminal equipment 2a transmits an address inquiry request signal including QoS information indicating the existence of communication quality assurance and interconnection network protocol (IP) address. Once the address inquiry request has been received from the equipment 2a, each of address management severs 3 (3a, 3b) judges whether the QoS information is included in the inquiry request or not, and when the QoS information is included, the ATM address of a corresponding destination terminal equipment 2f is read out from an ATM address table and the equipment 2a is informed of the read address. When the QoS information is not included, the equipment 2a is informed of the ATM address of the CLS.</p> |
