UNIFORM JOINT WITH TONE WHEEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the rotating speed of a hub by incorporating a tone wheel in the hub even when its installation space is limited. SOLUTION: At an internal half part of the hub 4b, a housing 8b for constituting the uniform joint is provided. A base half part 21 of a coupling cylinder 20 made of a magnetic metal plate is fixed onto the internal-end opening part of this housing 8b. Many through hole 26 are formed partially along the axis of the base half part 21 over the circumference and made to function as the tone wheel. Further, an end part of a boot 27 for dust protection is fixed onto the tip half part 22 of the said coupling cylinder 20.
