PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium and an optical recording/ reproducing method performing recording/reproducing with high reflectivity and an excellent signal output characteristic for light of a prescribed wavelength and without read-out destruction. SOLUTION: These optical recording medium and optical recording/ reproducing method are the optical recording medium successively formed with a recording layer 2, a middle layer 3, a reflection layer 4 on a transparent substrate 1, and satisfying that (α) being (R+T+A=1), α=R/(R+T) is 0.8 or above, or (β) being β=T/(R+T) is 0.9 or above when the reflectivity of the single film of the recording layer in a recording wavelength of recording light and a reproducing wavelength of reproducing light is defined R, and the transmissivity is T and the absorbing rate is A and the optical recording/ reproducing method using such a optical recording medium. |
