PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a magnetic card from being forged or altered by judging whether first and second data recorded by first and second magnetic recording means are properly recorded or not. SOLUTION: A magnetic substance M on a use history track is turned into an erased state with extremely high holding power in comparison with a high hold recording magnetic substance and format data are recorded on the high hold recording magnetic substance. Further, data recorded on an issue information track and the use history track are read by a reading head and these read contents are supplied through a reading circuit to a control part (S7). Thus, the control part performs comparison to show whether the read contents from the issue information track are coincident with issue information stored and recorded in an internal memory or not. Besides, the control part confirms the legality of a magnetic card by judging whether the format data are properly recorded or not based on the read contents from the use history track 5 (S8). |
