Hierarchy in automation system with controller for electrical equipment connected into a network via a bus

The hierarchy has an additional hierarchical plane for a master controller (7). The lower plane controllers (8,9) communicate with each other via a bus interface. Each lower plane controller has a second interface that makes the connection to the higher master controller plane. The second interfaces of the controllers and the master controller are connected via a European Home System bus.
