FIELD: computer engineering, instruments, in particular, for geophysics, medicine, economics, and so on. SUBSTANCE: method involves entering data about object to represent its state in N-dimensional space in computer database, outputting data about object into window on display screen as its representation in three- or two-dimensional sub-space of N-dimensional space according to geometry of sub-space and object itself, making alterations in data about object's geometry and observing these alterations on display. Object is represented as set of connected objects. Display screen contains at least one additional window for displaying data about this object in another sub-space of N-dimensional sub-space which differs from one displayed in first window. Alteration of visual representation of object in first window results in alterations of object representation in additional window. EFFECT: possibility to observe alterations in object's parameters and their relations in different sub-spaces of N-dimensional space. 8 cl, 23 dwg, 3 ex
