SOLUTION: An active oxygen eliminating agent, skin protecting agent or discoloration inhibitor contains at least one chosen from pedunculagin and tellimagrandin I isolated from trees belonging to the genus Eucalyptus as an effective component. A skin protecting agent or discoloration inhibitor may contain a water-soluble extract of trees belonging to the genus Eucalyptus as an effective component.
