LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION FOR ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an engine oil not causing a sediment even in a long-term preservation, having a long life and an excellent low fuel consumption. SOLUTION: This lubricating oil composition for an engine comprises (A) a synthetic lubricating oil base oil which has 2-20 mm2 kinematic viscosity at 100 deg.C and contains 80-100 mass % of a poly(α-olefin) or its hydrogenated substance and 0-20 mass % of a polyol ester, (B) 300-1,500 mass ppm calculated as molybdenum element of based on the total of the composition of at least one organomolybdenum compound selected from the group consisting of molybdenum dithiophosphate and molybdenum dithiocarbamate and (C) 2-15 mass % based on the total of the composition of one or more kinds of compounds selected from a bissuccinimide containing a long-chain hydrocarbon group having 300-1,500 number-average molecular weight (Mn) and its derivative.
