PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foot placing device for a wheelchair causing no complication of a structure and operation and unhindering at boarding and alighting time of an occupant. SOLUTION: In this foot placing device 6 for the wheelchair for installing left and right footrests 17 and 17 in a front part of left and right side frames 3 and 3 connected so as to be collapsible, a bracket 18 for supporting the left and right footrests 17 and 17 is engaged in the vertical direction with support parts 13 formed in the left and right side frames 3 and 3 so that the footrests 17 and 17 can be attached to the side frames 3 and 3.
