PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sorting device capable of stably and freely dropping a tape with a simple structure without causing a tape jam. SOLUTION: A roll-shaped tape 2, a feed roll 3, and a cutting means 5 are installed in a casing 1. The feed roll 3 comprises recessed and protruded upper and lower rolls for feeding the tape 2 formed generally in V-shape for stiffness. A motor 6 for driving the feed roll 3 and the cutting means 5 is controlled by a control means 8. The feed roll 3 is driven for a specified time to project the tape 2 a specified length forward of an outlet 4. Next, the cutting means 5 is driven to cut off the tape 2. Then, the feed roll 3 is driven for a specified time to feed the tape 2 until the tip of the tape inside the casing is projected from the outlet 4. The preceding cut tape 2 is pressed by the subsequent tape 2, and surely pushed out of the casing 1 and fallen on a print paper.
