PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find a practical method for bleaching fibers with hydrogen peroxide in a bleaching installation for bleaching a titanium material. SOLUTION: This method for bleaching the fibers with an alkaline hydrogen peroxide solution in the bleaching installation for bleaching the titanium material is characterized by adding at least one polymer derived fromα-hydroxyacrylic acid, and a calcium salt and/or a magnesium salt to the bleaching solution.
