PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an organic EL display element of high productivity in which a patterning is easy and adhesive property of joint faces is improved. SOLUTION: A first electrode layer 2 and a first organic EL layer are formed in turn on a substrate 1, and on the other hand, a second electrode layer 6 and a second EL layer are formed in turn on a support body 8. Next, the substrate 1 and the support body 8 are arrayed so that a first joint layer and a second joint layer already formed on them face each other, and the second electrode layer 6 and the second organic EL layer formed on the support body 8 are transcribed by patterning on the first electrode layer 2 and the first organic EL layer formed on the substrate, as given positions of the support body are thermally pressed with a thermal head 9 or the like.
