PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill depositor/dispenser in which less space is occupied by an elevating mechanism in a safe while enlarging an elevating stroke of a stage. SOLUTION: The safe 500 is provided with a stage 508 to support a bill P under a belt carrier 303, a pantograph type elevating mechanism 509 to elevate the stage 508, and a linear type elevating mechanism 512 to elevate a pantograph base 511 of the pantograph type elevating mechanism 509.
