PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress gray-scale deviation of pixels caused by a leak current of a protective circuit. SOLUTION: This electrooptic device has a plurality of data lines X supplied with a data current regulating the gray scale of the pixel 2, and the protective circuit 6 connected to the data lines X for preventing dielectric breakage of an inner circuit, and discharging static electricity of the data lines X by causing the leak current to flow therethrough. A resistance value of a route through which the leak current flows in the protective circuit is set so that no deviation occurs in the display gray scale of the pixel due to a variation in data current caused by the leak current.
