COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and a method by which power consumption can be further saved compared with conventional ones. SOLUTION: The communication system includes a first communication processing part for executing communication with the other communication terminal belonging to a first network and a second communication processing part for executing communication with an auxiliary communication device belonging to a second network. The communication terminal includes an auxiliary control information processing part which processes prescribed auxiliary control information for supporting the communication with the other communication terminal executed in the first network. The auxiliary control information is transmitted to the auxiliary communication device or received from the auxiliary communication device by using the second communication processing part.
