The method involves running software model algorithms (36, 38) on a server platform (22) to simulate machine tool behavior to process data. The data are compared with actual process data, and the algorithms generate changed values for a part of the processed data. The changed data are transmitted to an electronic machine control over a data connection (20). The control initiates the altered data to control a machine at a working place.
